ITINERARIES
1 - FLOWERS, BUSHMAN ART AND STARS - KAGGA KAMA
Day 1 Leave Cape Town via Riebeeck West through Ceres after stopping at the Reserve to look at flowers and on to Kagga Kama and book in to the deluxe Caves.
Day 2 After an early morning game drive and viewing bushmen paintings, breakfast is served . The guests can either enjoy a wonderful massage treatment or join in the guided hike to view the wonderful rock formations, bushman paintings, flowers, fauna and birdlife.
Day 3 Whilst hiking in the mountains a picnic lunch is served and after a wonderful Sundowner drive and a hearty traditional dinner, a night of star gazing is arranged.
Day 4 After an early guided game drive and flower viewing and a coffee break amongst the wildlife, the day is left open to enjoy the surrounds and pamper yourself in the spa.
Day 5 After a leisurely stroll in the area and further flower viewing the group leaves for Cape Town via Paarl looking out for flowers along the route.
2 - FLOWERS AND BUSHMAN ART - BUSHMANSKLOOF( accommodation in luxury rooms)
Day 1 Leave via the N7 for Clanwilliam.
Stop over at Citrusdal for a refreshment break and the first viewing of the Spring Flowers. Arrive in Clanwilliam and view the historic buildings and stop over for a hearty lunch. Arrive at our five star destination- Bushmans Kloof. Go on a Sundowner game drive looking out for wildlife and flowers from the open game-viewing vehicle.
Day 2 After a breakfast game drive and viewing of bushman paintings, a wonderful Brunch is served. The group is then taken on a hike to view the flowers. A wonderful high tea is followed by a guided tour of the bushman museum. Dinner follows a refreshing Sundowner drive.
Day 3 The guests can enjoy a massage or treatment in the spa and a number of the activities on offer viz. rowing, archery etc.
Day 4 After a drive to enjoy another of the bushman paintings, guests are taken on a guided hike to view the flowers
Day 5 After a last drive to enjoy the spring flowers and brunch, guests pack up to leave for a flower filled trip back to Cape Town via Velddrif and along the West Coast.
3 - THE CEDERBERG TO SEA - FLOWERS AND BIRDS
Day 1 Leave Cape Town drive via Darling, stop over for tea and on to Tinie Versveld Reserve for birding and have a look at the flowers
Day 2 Drive past West Coast National Park looking out for flowers and on to Paternoster where we overnight. We take a trip to the lighthouse and Tietiesbaai looking out for flowers as we travel. We leave for Velddrif where we take a boat trip along the Bergriver looking out for waders and flowers and leave for Elandsbaai. En route we stop at Draaihoek where we will spend the next couple of nights
Day 3 We leave for an early morning drive in the Draaihoek Reserve looking out for flowers amongst the game. We stop for a picnic lunch at the Bushman paintings and return for a leisurely stroll along the private beach looking out for flowers before settling down to a typical West Coat meal.
Day 4 We leave for Rocherpan Nature reserve and the Verlorenvlei where we walk along the banks looking out for unusual endemic birds and migratory birds. We move on to Elands Bay where we stop for a traditional lunch.
Day 5 Leave Draaihoek for Lamberts Bay where we stop at Bird Island. We stop for a traditional lunch at an outdoor boma and on to Clanwilliam where we will spend the next couple of nights.
Day 6 We take an early trip over the magnificent Pakhuis Pass to Wupperthal and stop at the Bushman Sevilla trail. While on the trail we look out for plants.
Day 7 After an early rise we make our way to the Ramskop Wild Flower Reserve and leave for Cape Town after an early lunch looking out for flowers en route.
4 - PATERNOSTER
Day 1 We leave Cape Town and pass Darling where we stop for tea and on to Tinie Versveld Reserve.
We stop at the West Coast National Park and visit Postberg before driving via Saldanha Bay to Paternoster.
As we drive flowers will be spotted and discussed. We spend the night at a guest house
Day 2 After breakfast we continue to look for flowers at Cape Columbine, Titiesbaai, Saldanha etc. before returning to Cape Town .
5 - CITRUSDAL
Day 1 We drive along the West coast to Velddrif before turning inland towards Citrusdal, where we will spend the next couple of night.
Day 2 We head to the flowers including Ramskop Flower Reserve in Clanwilliam
Day 3 We look out for further flowers before returning to Cape Town
6 - FEATHERS, FLOWERS AND FOSSILS
Day 1 leave Cape Town stop at Darling for tea, on to Tinie Versveld Reserve.
On to Velddrif. Here we spend the next couple of nights
Day 2 Spend day looking for flowers and birds. Meal and prize giving in evening.
Day 3 Fossil Park presentation and on to Langebaan to look for flowers where we will spend the night.
Day 4 On to West Coast National Park and Postberg Nature Reserve. We also look out for the waders on the Lagoon after having lunch at the Geelbek restaurant. The group will overnight in Langebaan.
Day 5 Go for boat ride on lagoon and back to Cape Town looking out for flowers en route.
7- WEST COAST ( DETAILS ON REQUEST)
8- WEST COAST NATIONAL PARK
Day 1 Leave Cape Town on to Darling.
Visit Tinie Versveld Reserve on to West Coast National Park. View birds on lagoon. Overnight in reserve.
Day 2 Go to Postberg and Tsaarsbank. View whales, flowers and birds
Day 3 Boat ride on lagoon to view birds then back to Cape Town looking out for flowers en route.
